David Beveridge

David was admitted as a solicitor in 1999 and joined Macdonald Henderson in February 2005 having spent five and half years as a corporate lawyer with Maclay Murray & Spens, one of Scotland’s biggest corporate law firms.

David was appointed a director of Macdonald Henderson in February 2006. Combining a solid technical background with real commercial flair, he has amassed a considerable level of experience in almost every facet of UK private company practice.

Career highlights to date include: acting for the UK's biggest venture capitalist in a number of technology investments; acting for a large number of investee companies in a wide range of industry sectors throughout the UK; advising on a number of high profile management buy-outs; and acting as lead lawyer in a plethora of asset and share sale transactions, many involving cross-border elements.

It is his ability to scale his input and advice to fit the circumstances from the most experienced trading companies to the youngest new-start which sets David apart as a commercial lawyer in the truest sense.

Industry Recognition

David is now featured in CA magazine's "Who's Who in Corporate Law", was selected as a "Rising Professional Star of 2006" by the Scottish Business Insider magazine and recognized as a Rising Star in the Cuthbert Legal Awards 2007.

Further recognition has followed, with David short listed as “Corporate Lawyer of the Year” at the Law Awards 2008, the most prestigious event of its kind in Scotland.
