Morris Owen have recently advised GWE Group with the creation of GWE Business West Limited by the merger of business support services with Bristol Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Rob Harman from Morris Owen led the team, together with Clark Holt Commercial Solicitors in Swindon, advising upon the structure of equity and debt funding in the newly created legal entity, together with the complex tax implications arising from the transfer of business assets between legal entities.
There was a successful completion for all parties in April 2008, which resulted in a new trading entity now employing 180 people across the South West.
