Allens have assisted with the acquisition of a special needs school and residential home, saving 100 jobs, and the places of many children and teenagers with severe disabilities.
John Sheehan, of Allens, acted as the lead advisor on the deal, and took the lead role as part of a rapidly constructed, multi-faceted project management team. He prepared the business plan and financial model which allowed funding to be secured to buy the company out of administration. He also co-ordinated a complicated multi-site due diligence project in the busy run up to Christmas.
The deal was successfully completed in January 2010, an extremely satisfying conclusion to a sensitive project. Allens continue to work alongside the client to ensure the security of the project, including close support for setting up the accounting function and payroll systems.
