Kirsty McGregor
Kirsty is a chartered accountant and has advised SME clients on corporate finance matters & transactions for around 10 years, including having set up several corporate finance departments for regional firms of accountants.
After qualifying with Baker Tilly in 1996, Kirsty then specialised in corporate finance for SMEs, and was appointed by Levy Gee as the first manager dedicated to corporate finance outside of London.
After roles at other regional practices in their corporate finance departments, Kirsty was then approached to set up a corporate finance department at a local, but ambitious firm, developing the necessary systems and procedures for them to be able to offer the service to their new and prospective clients. The firm is now listed on AIM, has 5 offices in the North West with around 100 staff, has secured Investors in People and has been a finalist in the Accountancy Age Firm of the Year for two successive years.

“It never ceases to amaze me how so many general practice firms just aren’t providing an adequate and proactive service to their clients, by not offering a full range of corporate finance advisory products. If you can’t provide your client with solutions to all of their commercial issues, will another firm in the region be able to lure them away?”
