VAT Solutions UK is a firm of independent Chartered Tax advisors who specialise in advising companies upon issues concerning indirect taxes.  Run by Andrew Needham & Steve Allen, both of whom have significant experience working with HMRC and various large firms of accountants in practice.

Steve Allen has extensive experience in the field of VAT, firstly with HMRC as a VAT Control and Investigation officer, and later in VAT Headquarters in Liverpool. Steve then moved on to large regional accountancy practices before joining Ernst & Young in Manchester. Steve has spent a total of 12 years working in VAT, and has specialised in dealing with the problems encountered by owner-managed businesses, and now by working with The Corporate Finance Network he can also provide VAT advice to our member firms’ clients. This is particularly crucial in buying/selling situations. Recognising early on that there is likely to be a VAT issue, and being able to deal with it before it causes real problems on the deal is of paramount importance.
